HySights asset ratings predict how a proposed clean molecule asset will perform across the three dimensions critical to commercial decision-makers: Bankability, Cost, and Emissions.

The likelihood of an aset to meet delivery commitments.

Overview of the HySights Ratings process

Any market participant can request a new HySights Rating. For requests that do not have access to primary, non-public project data, a minimum data threshold criteria needs to be met (see step 3 below).

Data understood to be relevant to the asset and from credible public and private sources is gathered by HySights analysts.

The collected data is internally reviewed to determine whether there is sufficient credible data to complete the ratings process.

HySights analysts apply the collected data to the appropriate HySights Ratings model. Quantitative and qualitative analysis is performed to assess the key risks of the asset.

The recommended rating and accompanying analysis report is prepared.

The HySights Ratings Council, a team of commodity market experts with a range of commercial, technical and emissions modelling expertise, reviews the rating report.

If approved by the HySights Ratings Council, the rating is published on the HySights platform. For solicited project ratings, the results are communicated the market participant that made the request. Feedback on matters of factual accuracy is encouraged, while HySights retains editorial control of the rating.

HySights reviews ratings when there is a material change to the asset, or quarterly, whichever is sooner. Projects with live operational data that is input into the model can enable ratings updates (particularly for the Emissions rating) at a higher frequency.
